The Englewood neighborhood of Strayers is south of downtown Denver in the 80113 zip code. It is in the Englewood School District. Charles Hay World School serves children up to 5th grade. Englewood Middle School and Englewood High School also service the neighborhood. Schools of choice for the district include Englewood Leadership Academy and Colorados Finest Alternative High School.

Just a few blocks away is Bates/Logan Park. This public park offers a picnic area, pavilion, playground, restrooms and a basketball court. A larger, nearby park is Cushing Park. In addition to the amenities that Bates/Logan Park offers, Cushing Park also has horseshoe pits, a skateboard park and a lake. Wellshire Municipal Golf Course is a couple miles to the east and was voted one of the best public courses in the nation.

Swedish Medical Center and Craig Hospital are just south of the community and are well known in the region. Craig is nationally ranked a top-ten rehabilitation hospital for spinal cord and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and research. Swedish serves as the regions referral center for neurotrauma and comprehensive stroke care.

CityCenter Englewood replaced a suburban mall and has become a mixed-use downtown area. With walkable streets, outdoor performance space, a public library, retail and office space and a light rail transit station, the design offers easy access to everything.

I-25, a main north-south highway for the state, is close enough to allow for an easy commute to Downtown Denver or the Denver Tech Center, but far enough to be able to enjoy the neighborhood.

Some homes in the neighborhood are from the turn of the century and have been beautifully remodeled. Bungalows, Victorian and Contemporary styles are throughout the community and prices tend to be mid-upper 100s.
