The Englewood neighborhood of Strayers is south of downtown Denver in the 80113 zip code. It is in the Englewood School District. Charles Hay World School serves children up to 5th grade. Englewood Middle School and Englewood High School also service the neighborhood. Schools of choice for the district include Englewood Leadership Academy and Colorados Finest Alternative High School.

Just a few blocks away is Bates/Logan Park. This public park offers a picnic area, pavilion, playground, restrooms and a basketball court. A larger, nearby park is Cushing Park. I-25, a main north-south highway for the state, is close enough to allow for an easy commute to Downtown Denver or the Denver Tech Center, but far enough to be able to enjoy the neighborhood.
